Penny Hutchinson has been Director of Arts Victoria since taking up the position in November 2000. During the period March to September 2006 she was seconded to the position of acting Deputy Secretary, Sector Improvement Group. Prior to joining the Department in 2000, Ms Hutchinson was a partner at BDO Nelson Parkhill. She has also worked in the Victorian Department of Management and Budget and the National Companies and Securities Commission. Ms Hutchinson has served on several government boards, including Medibank Private, the Federal Airports Corporation, the College of the Arts and the Australian String Quartet.
