Khaled Abdulwahab is Youth Officer and Cultural Development Worker at Multicultural Arts Victoria. He was recently awarded the Australia Council’s Young Leaders Award for outstanding leadership and contribution to the advancement of community arts and culture. Khaled arrived in Australia as a refugee in 2001 from Eritrea and has since demonstrated leadership in a range of positions and projects in youth and multicultural arts. He is also a highly skilled hip hop artist with outstanding talent who inspires young people and refugees locally as well as nationally. Khaled and fellow hip-hop artist MC Mohamed Komba from Komoros Islands perform together in the band Diafrix.
