Graham Pitts is an independent writer, director and organiser who has worked in both the “mainstream” arts and in community based cultural activities with many communities in Australia and overseas for the past thirty years. He was co-winner of the 2005 Ros Bower Award from the Australia Council for a lifetime achievement in the community arts and is the current Chair of the National Arts and Culture Alliance. Graham is presently working on a new performance work with Chinese-Australians and is continuing his work, which stretches back twenty years, with people with an East Timorese background.
