Akash has worked as Club Wild’s principal community music artist since 2001, creating funky original music and performance with people with disabilities in communities across Melbourne, Victoria and Sydney. His collaborations with workshop participants have created over 40 recorded songs and soundtracks and formed live performance bands in numbers of communities. Akash also works as a trainer and mentor with individual artists with disabilities both within and outside of Club Wild’s activities. Akash has worked extensively as a professional composer, songwriter, arranger, performer, recording engineer and producer for private, community, government and corporate clients. He produced major composition pieces for the 2006 Australia Day celebrations at Federation Square and a multicultural fusion composition working with over 30 cultural groups for the City of Hume’s Winter Music Festival. He has produced 5 films scores, achieving international recognition and has produced 7 albums of his own original compositions. Akash will be performing at the Conference Dinner, with a mix of popular and jazz standards.
