upper east roomOn the first floor of University House, the East Upper Dining Room provides a perfect quiet and secluded venue for the Making Culture Count Conference Dinner. Dating  back to 1885, University House is the sole survivor of a number of Victorian Professorial houses that once lined Professors Walk. The Upper East Dining Room offers views of the heritage buildings and lush garden surrounds. This dinner will give you the opportunity to meet the speakers and other conference participants while you are treated to an excellent three course menu with drinks, tea and coffee. Special dietary requirements are catered for.

Dinner Menu

Entrée: Salad of roast tikka vegetables with pappadam cracker
Main: Roast porterhouse of beef with seed mustard crust and onion fritters, pan jus
Dessert: Salad of kaffir lime scented fruits in chocolate coupe with gelato
Drinks: Wine/beer/orange juice/mineral water
Tea/coffee

University House is ten minutes walk from the conference venue.

Public transport
From Flinders St Station: Catch any tram marked University up Swanston St and get off at main university tram stop.

By Car
Parking is available  after 5pm in University car parks ($7) and metered street parking in Royal Pde and Grattan St.
Eastern Car Park off Cardigan Street – entry Cardigan St.
University Square – enter off Berkley Street.

By Taxi

Drop off (only – no parking) outside University House entry Gate 1 (Tin Alley) off Swanston Street.
